The word “Der Heiligabend” is put together with “heilig” (holy) and “Abend” (evening) and refers to the 24th of December-Christmas Eve. “Der Heiligabend” has many names, depending on the family or region of Germany you live in.D

T is preparing a nice meal for this afternoon, then we will head out the door for a night walk around the Neighborhood to work the extra kCals off, then back to the house for Christmas eve present opening.
